1000 GALLON PRECAST GREASE INTERCEPTOR
The 1000 gallon Precast Grease Interceptor, commonly known as the grease trap, has been industry accepted for many years for grease separation, retention, flow rate, and water turbulence reduction.
The following features exhibit its performance and characteristics.
- Retention: The 1000 gallon (926 net gallon) capacity provides adequate storage for grease to cool down and solidify. Emulsifying chemicals get time to release their hold on greases and oils. (Volume calculations certified by Michigan Licensed Engineer).
- Wastewater flow rates: For most commercial and institutional uses the 4” inlet opening provides adequate size for anticipated flow rates. Larger pipe openings can also be made.
- Maintenance: The three access openings provide an ease of convenience for the critical cleaning that is required in maintaining a grease interceptor. The capacity limits cleaning frequencies.
- Structural Design: The interior partitioning (baffling) diverts incoming flows from short circuiting, the reduced turbulence helps cause the grease to rise out of suspension in the water and quickly float to the top. The air space above the invert (venting) prevents back siphoning.
- Installation Instruction: Excavate to match invert elevation of influent line, excavation must be 24” greater than outside diameter of product. Install level on a solid bed. Access openings shall be brought to grade using precast risers, adjusting rings or brick.
Optional: Zabel A-300 12 x 20 filter on the outlet of the grease interceptor.
Optional: H-20 rated top available depending on design requirements.
