Precast insulated wall panels are the perfect alternative to traditional construction methods in residential applications. Precast insulated panels manufactured using Thermomass insulation systems are extremely energy efficient, reducing heating costs by up to 50% or more in a typical home. Thermomass systems utilize the ‘Thermal Mass Effect’ as illustrated in the diagram below. Homes constructed with conventional insulation systems have numerous heat transfers where energy is lost causing heating and air conditioning systems to work harder to maintain a static temperature. With the Thermomass system, heat transfers are eliminated keeping the warm air in and the cold air out in the winter and the opposite during summer months.
Precast insulated panels are mold and mildew resistant. Mold and mildew grow in any area where moisture is present. In a precast insulated wall panel moisture is blocked because of the solid, air-free construction, therefore eliminating mold and mildew problems.
