Tindley Preparatory Academy
State: Indiana Completed: 2012
When Tindley Preparatory Academy, an Indianapolis area charter school, decided to add an all-boys middle school to their campus, they wanted it open as soon as possible. The contractor, Meyer Najem, quickly zeroed in on precast as the optimal choice for the construction of the school. The school was completely finished 95 calendar days from the ground breaking. While the project had a top-notch team doing the work, precast helped speed up the schedule tremendously. The walls were ready to be installed as soon as the site was excavated and the building was completely enclosed in 5 days.
"We received temporary occupancy today after 95 calendar days of construction on some 50,000 square feet of new structure. I want to extend my sincere appreciation for your extra efforts to get this school open earlier than anyone thought possible."
