Precast concrete proved to be a great solution as it allowed sound barriers to be attached to the walls blocking out unwanted noise. Kerkstra provided rectangular beams, wall panels and hollowcore for this project, totaling 54,812 sf of precast concrete. The walls consisted of 8” and 15” thick solid wall panels, reaching a height of 65’ in the performance hall. The completion of precast installation was a critical milestone that we pushed to meet in order to allow other finishing trades efficient time to focus on the quality of finishes in this high profile performance hall.
