McLaren Parking Deck

McLaren Parking Garage is a 635 car, 535 piece precast parking garage for a replacement hospital and surgical center in East Lansing, MI. The project consisted of a two-toned gray exterior with stair towers using a complimentary embedded burnished block.

The use of the two colors was chosen to be slightly offset from the main hospital campus building. This project was designed, manufactured, and installed during the COVID-19 Pandemic and maintained both the production schedule and installation schedule set by the owner.  The project was erected in just six weeks. Precast was selected as a building method due to the ability to allow the replacement hospital to be nearly completed before the construction of the parking structure.  This provided the hospital construction team a larger laydown and logistics area easing the constraints of the hospital construction.
